"Isolate" is an embodiment of my own personal experience with isolation during the early days of the pandemic. Created at the peak of the world's newfound solitude, this piece attempts to capture both the pain and beauty that isolation can bring.

On one hand, isolation can be mentally and emotionally devastating for many of us, this became prominent to me throughout the first months of the pandemic. Although one may feel disconnected from a sense of belonging when in isolation; I found it can also be beneficial to creativity - by allowing time to focus solely on one's artistry we can often open up space to think freely and find new perspectives on our emotions and experience.

Personally, I used this unique time in history to tap into my creativity and expand my artistic range - something I might not have been able to do had it not been for the seclusion the pandemic brought.
