As a study in typography, I created a series of five posters focusing on the five scientific laws: Hooke's Law of Elasticity, Archimedes' Principle of Buoyancy, Dalton's Law of Partial Pressures, Bernoulli's Law of Fluid Dynamics and Fourier's Law of Heat Conduction. Each poster served as an exploration into a particular law and their interconnectedness.

My main goal with these posters was to bring attention to the visual artistry that is integral for understanding data in physics. Scientific visualization seems to bind art and science together; it helps us gain deeper insight and allows us to connect the abstract nature of mathematical equations to visuals. Through this process, the relationships between the elements within each law can be clearly communicated.

The fusion of science and art has been prevalent for centuries, especially in more recent times when visualizing data through creative design is necessary to express findings and advance research. With this project, I set out to make these seemingly daunting theories accessible through a design-led approach which hopefully encourages others to explore these laws further.
